Hello Mike- first, I guess we are pointing at the rear rod from the valve cover to the bulkhead - right? If so, will the engine move? - I hope not. Secondly, how to replace those bushings. I did on some suspension parts and ended up using a car jack from the foundation of our house into a cement bulkhead - tho a guess a sturdy bench vise for smaller parts would work too. Careful tho - A LOT of energy getting those things in there and if they are one half degree off center can do serious damage to anything surrounding them (read - you) if the dang thing goes ka-BOING. Just a thot.

How easy/difficult is it to change the bushing (called buffer for link
in the parts manual) of a reaction tie rod on the engine of a 1981 308
GTSi ?
If I unscrew one side, will the engine move a bit forward or backward ?
