Just caught the beginning of an episide I haven't seen yet - Oh, My God!
My new dream car just went by!! An early 60's 250GT Berlinetta - what a
gorgeous car - and when the V-12 gets wound up the sound was amazing -
well, as good as my surround sound can make it - I can only try to imagine
what it would sound like in person!
I know the new F430s and 550s/575s are amazing cars - but there's something about the older cars that pull my heart strings. Dennis Liu is going to say I'm living in the past - perhaps. Of course, if I were to drive a new F430 or a 360 then jump into a 250GT I may not believe how ancient the 250GT is - or how luxurious the 430/360 is and decide I want all those creature comforts. I may be wrong but I don't think so - my 66/67 (built as a 66 but registered as a 67) MGB is made in the old fashioned way of building sports cars - nothing added that doesn't make it faster (all being relative) - even the radio & heater were options many people didn't buy.
Have a nice week ya'll --
