Phil, You are right I would make a lousy ambassador for the Ferrari Marque, my entire ownership experience consisted driving to race tracks and back and racing it on those racetracks on track fun days as often as I could, I put 9000 miles on my 348 in 18 months doing that, sadly I was most often surrounded by Porsche's and BMW's and the occasional Vette. Once in a while a challenge car would be there, and I did see a nice F40 get put on a flatbed to have its nose repainted, but never saw it hit the track... It seemed to me everyone else was too busy wiping their rides down with diapers, or too worried something would break... There is many a day I wish I were cheaper... I'd probably have more spending money :). I am sorry If I somehow offended you. Please note that I put a smiley after the comment :) (this is a standard practice on the internet and is meant to imply the comment was not said in malice, at least to some folks I think that would be the understood implication :)) Here is a link on smiley's for your edification: http://members.aol.com/bearpage/smileys.htm I was also in no way trying to imply any wrongdoing on your part by posting the information. For example, my mom, now living the good life and retired in Florida, forwards every bit of flotsam she sees on the internet without checking it first... I hated breaking it to her that she wasn't really going to see $20 million from a long lost relative's estate in Nigeria... And really isn't what is offensive all relative I guess: "Son I've been to more F1 races than times you've been laid Clyde" Wow. Just be pleased to have joined us on the long list of "cheap bastards". Actually, if I remember my economics lesson of old, and of course the writings of another "cheap bastard" (guy named Warren Buffet or something like that), being a "cheap bastard" is one of the best ways to also join us on a much shorter list of "Ferrari Owners" who actually have clear titles to our cars, and are not moving them from one friend's garage to another's just to avoid being a short scene on one of those satellite/cable station "actuality" series about the "Repo" Men. Just remember that for most of us, we can pay now, or pay later, but by paying later we have much more saved up to buy the good stuff in life.
