My fault for the late posting. I didn't think to post it here until last
minute.

Best track times use to be with the BMW and Porsche clubs, but it is
changing. With the every growing mainstreaming of autosports, smaller
interest
based clubs are renting track time. With the proximity of the new track to
Chicago (20 min south of Merrilville, IN/1hr 15 min from downtown Chicago),
you
can expect track events 7 days a week, major clubs and member events getting
priority on the weekends. A little info for those that don't know about
Prairie Hill, the track is 6.8 miles long making it the longest in this
hemisphere.
It can be divided into four tracks that can run simultaneously. 3600
different track configurations can be made using various access roads. We
already
have a simulator of the 2.4 mile track configuration running. You can take
it for a test drive at one of the presentations. It was also at the Chicago
Auto Show recently.

Anyway, next event will be at Fox Valley Motorcars on April 3rd. If you
would like an invitation or more info regarding membership, please drop me a
line. If anything, come for the free alcohol while the local gendarme wait in
the lot next to the dealership (yes, we were surrounded by three of Westmont's
best. I guess the pair of Lambo's, handful of Porsche's and the usual list
of Bimmer's, Audi's and Ricers, they figure they are gonna catch somebody!

Darn it I just read this...

OK I am in the Chicago area and want to head out to a track at some point
this spring, just spent the evening putting the summer tires on and changing
the oil. Need to get some new brake pads, rotors and fluid and should be
good to go. Who runs the best track weekends in town anyhow?

Mike
