I borrowed a Boroscope from work but couldn't really see anything of interest inside the compression chamber. I pulled the cam belt covers and ended removing the AC compressor entirely. The Freon had leaked out some time ago. I mis-read the instructions on setting the cam timing on the #1 cyl. TDC mark so I lost the information on how far off the 5-8 bank cams were ( at first I set them to the #8 TDC, but the cam lobes positions were completely wrong for TDC so I re-read the manual and set all the cams to the # 1 cyl.). I put on the new belt, re-checked the TDC cam timing and spun the engine for the compression test but still have no compression on the 5-8 bank. Several people have written that I will not be able to get the head off with the engine in the car. So, is there a step-by step procedure on "how to pull the engine" out there?
