And Adam, believe it or not, can actually drive. I saw him co-host a show on Speed (not sure what it was) where he was driving a Pontiac Grand-something-or-other around the track, and he didn't look completely novice. Agreed - Tanner Foust bites donkeys. Is there gonna be an American Stig? Stupid yanks always go and mess stuff up. I love Top Gear as it is - Clarkson, Hamster, Capt. Slow, and the Hamilton-hating Stig. Also agree that they should have given it to HBO. If this flies, I'll eat my helmet. Eric Stromer??? Forget it. Supercars exposed is an embarrassment. Top Gear in the US will crash and burn after three episodes. Really, the BBC should have licensed it to HBO or Showtime, which do not rely on ad revenue (and hey, Top Gear can't be that expensive to produce!). Hire Carolla and, say, Dan Neil and Ezra Dyer. Sheesh. ----- Adam Carolla gets in "Top Gear" Mon Jun 16, 3:10 PM ET LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC announced Monday morning what listeners to Adam Carolla's radio show have known for a while: The comedian will host the broadcaster's adaptation of the BBC's "Top Gear." Carolla will join drift racer Tanner Foust and TV construction guru Eric Stromer as the show's presenters. "Gear" targets auto enthusiasts and mixes racing, stunts, challenges and celebrity guests. NBC announced the show as a pilot in the winter, but the project has not yet been added to the network's year-round schedule, which was unveiled in May. The original "Gear" premiered in 1977 and is BBC 2's most-watched program in the U.K. The show is broadcast in more than 100 countries and has been airing on BBC America since 2007. ------ Vty, --Dennis _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/steve%40stevejenkins.co m Sponsored by BidNip.com eBay Auction Sniper http://www.BidNip.com/ and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
