Have been trying to recall his 1st name -- IIRC the one that posted to this list was the brother of the photographer - but my memory may be faulty.

Yeah, those big lens' get *real* expensive for a day or 2 of shooting. But the equipment is a big part of the finished product -

I think those big name photogs use the large format Hasselblads - 4"x5" negatives really give great photos - the magazines and books really like the large format stuff.

I have a article appearing in the next issue of Excellence and one problem was the photos I submitted - even tho they were the highest quality my digital Nikon could do ("Fine" with a pixel size of 1624x1224 which equates to a finished size of 5.1" x 3.9") they asked for higher quality ;-( In the end they worked with what I submitted and I am hoping they look good - but I won't know until the next issue arrives -

Anyway -- have a nice week -

Thanks for posting that Larry...I don't recall him being around this year.
I'd like to fondle his lenses...that sounds . Well, I'd like to see a list of
his camera gear...I've heard those guys generally rent those huge pieces of glass.

Note the Force India steering wheel contains a map incase the driver gets lost.
It's also the coolest of the wheels and wouldn't look to out of place in a modern sedan.

Was his first name Gary?

I'm sure most of us know about Schlegelmich and his terrific photographic
art - but if you haven't visited his website in a while you're missing some
beautiful historical photographs - take a look at

really cool stuff -
