Gives a whole hew perspective to 'hydroplanning'.
In 1981 I bought an Audi 5+5 ,my first front wheel drive car, I remember it was a handfull in the rain 1 wheel would hit a puddle and spin and the had traction it would almost jerk the wheel out of my hands and that was at 70mph just cruising. Nobody had to tell me not to use cruise control in wet condictions.

This won;t be a spoiler - I've been watching the Brit GP - a fully wet race
with all cars on intermediate or full rain tires.
It's a true lesson in seeing who are the true masters of car control without
the electronic assistance of Traction Control. I'll bet there are a LOT of
drivers praying they'll be allowed TC in the future! TC really made them
look like rainmeisters!
Think now about the TRUE Rainmeisters - Senna, Lauda, Schooey, Ickx, and others who not only controlled their cars in terrible conditions, but they were shifting with one hand at the same time! All without electronic assistance.
Man! WHen those cars lose it, they snap *very* quickly!
Great race BTW - Glad I taped it -
