SUBJECT: Timing belt for 8-cylinder engines
For your information, all 8-cylinder Ferrari models, independent of the Model Year, must
have the timing belts replaced every 30,000 miles or every 3 years, whichever comes
first.
For information on Timing Belts for 12-cylinder engines, refer to Technical Information
Bulletin number 1003 dated October 2002.

There's a service bulletin floating around saying 3 year belt change interval 
on all models all  years
Course that's Ferrari's advice...I think practical experience  goes with 5 
years.

Clyde -

All the cars are miles or years - generally 5 years.

The rubber wears out and/or distorts at the tensioner - especially if the car sits often.
