While patiently stopped at a stoplight astride my Yamaha XJ750RK (touring
package model), I was rear-ended by a '73 Caddy convertible. He was going
about 40mph. No brakes applied. Bike stayed upright, but ended up as a bumper
ornament. I was plastered to the car windshield, until it finally stopped and
I slid forward, landing face down on the pavement. Full coverage helmet saved
my face.

Bike was totaled. I was nearly totaled. Driver had no insurance, of course.

I'm a bit nervous sitting at stoplights now.

Guys some of you may already know that I also ride and race motorcycles.

I own an 2000 MV Agusta F4 750. (image is everything!)

It a cute bike that does everything well, once you upgrade the suspension
(which I did).

Once you do this it sticks to corners like Bubba with a fresh application of
Polly Grip!

Anyway I was at the local bike night with my bike, and I was parked.

A guy with a HD backed into my bike and snapped off the side stand and down
she went.

The crowd who saw it wentà OOOH! All the damage was to the left side, ugh.

There is always 2 cops there, one of them saw the whole thing.

To add insult to injury this guy did not have a motorcycle endorsement on
his driverÃââs license, so his bike got towed away. And got a ticket! Bonus

He did have insurance.

So even if you are stopped, shit can still happen.

Oh well another day
