I wonder sometimes if the entire world has become enamored with short-term occurrences rather than long-term necessity. It seems that no one is willing to articulate the reasoned hypothesis that in using up the petroleum resources of the remainder of the world, even at what amounts to extortionate pricing by a cartel will in the long term result in the United States being one of the few nations in the world with remaining petroleum resources which shall place it in both an economic and geopolitical advantage.
