Steve, IMO:

You will tire of the Lotus quickly. Not your style.

Arial Atom ... fun in the same manner as a fast motorcycle, with somewhere
to put a gallon of milk. 

288 GTO is a yes. On my A-list too. But will it compliment, or conflict with
your 328? 

I like Clyde's idea of an F1, but I was under the impression that you had to
have a crew just to start one. It's make a nice sculpture on the wall
though.

Going new? Try to buy someone's option on the new Alpha Romeo 8C? Or maybe
the 2009 California?

Personally, I'd switch from "fast cars and beautiful women," to "beautiful
cars and fast women": I'd get a 250GT Lusso. I'd ship it to Le Havre, drop
down to Cote d'Azur, then do a road trip along the Mediterranean coastline.
You meet the nicest, um, people in a 250 Lusso.
