Just remember, its show business and aimed at the lowest common denominator - 
and that number's plenty low!  Besides, how else can Bernie, et al., guarantee 
that the championships will be desided in the last turn of the last race 
without manipulating the results?  :-P

I watched the race, then flipped it off at Parc Ferme', right after  
the finish, to avoid the boring National Anthems (yawn), the  
inevitable spraying of champagne (fun to see the first 150 times, but  
no longer a spontaneous gesture - now has become an obligatory act of  
contrition to the sponsoring European Union of Dry Cleaners). Worst of  
all the stupid post-race interview questions - "Kimi how was the race?  
" "Uhhh,  uhhh, yaaa I tink so". Just because they can drive doesn't  
mean they can parse. Followed by the same moronic 'engine sludge'  
commercials you have just seen 22 times during the event.

So the first I heard of this was here on F-list hours later. Perhaps  
the stewards made their decision during the broadcast, but who knew?  
Once the [excellent!] race was done Bernie might well have declared  
war on the colonies, yet I would remain quite innocent of the fact.  
But hell don't ask me; I thought Max Mosely liked gardening and  
playing with his grandchildren...not flaying with someone else's.
