The all time fastest leader on the Top Gear board is the Gumpert Apollo.  
Built in Germany by an ex-Audi guy named Gumpert (go figure). The latest series 
 
(which just ended on BBC 2) plus the latest issue of Top Gear magazine 
features  the car. Its ugly but the quickest of everything.

The only  reason I've been considering this car, is because it leads the TG
Power Lap  board. :)
