UPDATE: The good news is that Marlenecame to work and straightened her desk all 
day (on the clock).?The bad news? The new owners don't seem to have?the proper 
Federal License to?either start or complete any transactions in her Fannie?May 
Division. She and her people are just sitting there, doing nothing, waiting?for 
the license to be issued.??Not one single piece of paper came thru to be 
processed. BTW, her dept, WaMu Fanny May, where she is a Senior VP,?is the only 
dept that has consistantly shown a profit, with a 1% default rate. Not too 
shabby in today's financial world.

The Treaty of Versailles - was ok up to a point - of course it was?redefined by 
Germany 36 minutes later.? It wasn't the treaty, per se, but?the Reparations 
expected from that wound that war torn country that wound up Germany like a $2 
watch.? And then?the economy went poo poo clunk.

?Hey people: Don't worry about the dollar bills. before this financial mess 
hits rock bottom, they'll be as scarce as a virgin living at the Playboy 
Mansion. Think?of the $100 dollar bill?as your new $1 dollar bill. My friend 
Horst from Germany told me that when he was a kid in the late 1920s his father, 
who worked as a machinist at the Lugerworks?in Erfurt, used to be paid twice a 
day. His mother used to bring a wheelbarrow to work at noon,and load it with 
$50 Million Deutchmark notes and hurry to shop before more inflation made the 
worthess by the next day.

I talked to my daughter Marlene last night after I heard the news that wamu, 
the corp. where she is (was?) a senior VP, Fannie Mae Division,?just had 
been?seized and sold.?She said that when she arrives at work today she doesn't 
know thether she will still have a job, be handed her final paycheck, or be 
escorted out, doing the 'perp walk' in handcuffs, and on TV for all to see.?

Speaking of Marlene, does anyone out there have an opening for a bright, young, 
energetic fast learning girl that is willing to take a small cut in salary, 
relocate, plus being a loyal hard worker? BTW, she?will do?windows on demand 
too.

This is going to be one hellava rollercoaster ride!? Like der Frau always tells 
me when I ride in her Mom-mobile, "Get in, sit down, strap in, and SHUTUP!
