I would think a wire or vacuum hose is not as secure as it once was.

Subject: [Ferrari] Check Engine Light - 512TR

Last week I took my car to the dealer for adjustment of the engine cover, which wasn't properly aligned (again). About 5 minutes after I left the dealer the check engine light (7-12) lit for a few seconds, then went off, and about a minute later (don't hold me to the precise times) it went on again and stayed on. At no time did the engine seem to be running abnormally.

Most likely explanation that while the mechanics were adjusting the engine cover they knocked some wire loose?

Thanks,
Larry
