Re: 08'S IN '08 [Ferrari Digest, Vol 27, Issue 27]

It sounds like it was a blast. I had fully intended to make it, it would
have been both my first Ferrari list event and my first Ferrari list.
Unfortunately circumstances combined to prevent my attendance, with the car
being not
operationally ready for travel (and I just couldn't see the value in towing a
car that wasn't running, with all that winching on and off of the trailer),
and unfortunately I was in the midst of an unscheduled, yet painful
exacerbation of the residual effects of Pres. Nixon's post-graduation trip to
Southeast
Asia. It is rare that I can bring myself to admit it, but I was also "not
operationally ready" for the trip, however short it would have been.

I hope to travel vicariously in the posted photographs, and to attend
whatever the xx in 09 might happen to be if it is geographically viable.

Many thanks to the gentlemen who put this event together. Perhaps it will
occur in some other form again.

Dr. Steve
