COOL!
Thanks for the observations.
I have not driven my 308GTB for about 3 months!... but summer is here now so as soon as work allows I will get it out and road legal for the summer. Walked past it just yesterday in the shed and even after almost 2 years ownwership I STILL shock my head at the sight of it sitting their and said out loud to myself something along the lines of "holy F^%#$@ hell" ... I still have to pinch myself that it's really their.

I will be back with a "first drive of summer" report in the next few weeks:)

Hello Friends,
Not to gloat but today I drove both of my Ferraris. Wow, what a difference! There are a zillion things the same and another zillion things that are different - most elude description. Quick observations:

'79 308GTB
- a little cold natured (no, my choke cable isn't connected)
- fabulous Weber howl almost overshadowing clean exhaust note
- nice seating and with a little butt pinch for secure seating
- snug just-put-it-on feeling
- second gear as easy as any other, even cold
- fabulous paint, so-so but evolving interior
- not a drop of oil under car in the months the car's been using bay
- driver's side inside door handle broken
- damned quick

'83 Mondial QV
- Instantly usable, if gently, tanks to K-Jetronic fuel injection
- clean smooth exhaust note, loud with aftermarket exhaust
- comfortable seating and secure seating
- open, airy, feeling of space
- second gear functionally impossible when cold, fast warm-up though
- great paint, so-so interior, no stitches broken, leather needs food
- oil drops on garage floor, after one week
- driver's side inside door handle broken
- damned quick

So yes, I had a good day. I moved about 50% of the non-car-junk from the garage. I'll be in Kentucky for a week then I'll get the other 50% of useless crap out of the garage. I'll then have a garage for CARS.
