Probably just corrosion or dirty goo in the switch.  You'd think a couple of 
physicists could fix that.  :-P

And speaking of that;  Allen graduates from NMT next May!  He will receive a BS 
in physics with a minor in math.  Wasn't it just yesterday that we were at your 
house talking about him starting school in Socorro???
