Everyone that I know has already blown his 3000 lbs... (I know what you're
thinkin'... )

Pay the extra dough and get the 2-ton. The 1-1/2 is on sale right now for $80
so I would imagine the 2-ton is on sale too. If you are on their mailing list,
you would also have the current additional 15% off coupon.

I have this identical jack in my garage now, I use it regularly to lift my 308
onto jackstands.? Its 'good', but not 'great' in that the jack is dead-lifting
a weight close to its max-rating.? It will push the car up, but it will require
some serious pushing DOWN on the handle to get the car to rise.? Sooner or
later, I will end up blowing seals, but until then I'm getting my money's
worth.? Charles Perry has/had Harbour Freight's 'one-tier-up' racing jack that
has a very-similar low profile, but has an extra 1,000 LB. lift capacity - I
believe its only another $60 more.....?

Have you tried one like this?

I'm thinking of getting a low profile jack similar to this one. I'm
getting tired of replacing the cup on my standard floor jack with a
piece of plywood to get under the TR.
