Hello Friends, Did a little work on the Mondial's leather today. Somewhere after Maranello, the seats and doors were stained black using Gawd-knows-what but it looks like shoe dye! In the places where the somewhat glossy finish was worn through, the finish looked much better than the glossy bits! That gave me an idea. I carefully stripped the glossy finish off of the leather with lacquer thinner then when dry, applied a heavy coat of Leatherique Leather Rejuvinator. The stuff soaked in nicely and immediately improved the overall look. With a few more applications, the leather will soften up nicely. No, its not going to look new but it is going to have a nice, soft, clean patina. Back seats and surroundings yet to start then I can move on to the carpets. A good shampoo there and perhaps a little spot degreasing will put them right, I'd bet. The vinyl is probably going to have to be resprayed. That's easy enough. Its the masking that takes forever.
