Fwd: High Resolution Ferrari Photographs

I met Jesse Alexander back in Tucson at a signing party for his coffee table
book, 'Driven.' He covered the Grand Prix racing circus from the mid 1950's
til the late '60s. Many beautiful shots of Ferraris, including one that's
hanging on my wall even as I peck. It's a big B/W shot of Fangio coming out of
the Monaco pits in his 1956 Ferrari D50 with a T painted on the nose instead of
a number. To me, it captures the true feeling of F1 when it was still a
sport, not a cash cow for that dipstick Bernie. I'll look for his website for
you.

And to think, when we went to the Austrian GP in the mid '90s, we were
staying in Graz, and had some Serb come up to me with an RPG he wanted to sell
for
$100 usd. I passed on it. I would have bought his AK-47 for $50, but no way
to get it back home.

And wouldn't you know it . . . the next morning at the track in Zelwieg,
what should fly right over me going low and slow enough to hit with a rock, but

a chopper bringing Bernie to the track. Damn! I would have given $1,000 for it
 then!

Interesting note: before the race they had a fly-over by the entire Austrian
Air Force. 3 delta wing Mirages flew over at 500 feet, kicked in the
afterburners and went vertical. The ground shook so much that I pissed my
lederhosen!

Yer pal, Ferrari Bubba

Subj: [Ferrari] High Resolution Ferrari Photographs

Not afraid to admit out loud. I'm jealous of Bob Garvin's den walls
and general Ferrari encoutrements.

Now that I'm printing and framing 13"x19" photos, I am searching
for high resolution Ferrari jpegs (or tiffs or raw) to print for my wall.
3000x2000px is adequate.

I already have 40 some 1:18 scale cars in red or slver, just lacking the
photos and some flags to drape. Incidently, Robert, are those two
cars in the display case, waist level, above books,..are they 1:10 scale?
****
MY QUESTION IS - I have sent email to Rainer Schlegelmilch who used to
frequented the list, posting great teasers shots after each race.

I have never bought stock photos myself and if anyone else is interested
in the details, please let me know and I'll pass on the details.
There could be a quantity factor involved. If it matters, my print costs
(paper and ink) are under $10 and frames double matted are about $50
Pro estimates were $40 for prints and $185 for frames.

If anyone else knows where high resolutions (3000+pizels) are available
of Ferrari new cars, I would be interested in that URL as well.
