You can't really say that until you have heel toed through the gears from 5th to 4th to 3rd to 2nd for a hairpin with the revs echoing off the track barrier walls the entire time... When you do that just right, you'll start calling your car sweetheart...

On this subtle point, I disagree.  Given the efficiency of today's F1 boxes and 
even modern automatics, there's no need for a manual gearbox beyond satisfying 
the whims of the individual driver.  I'd much rather have this setup in a 
modern car, than a gated, clunky shifter.  On the other hand, an automatic or 
even an 80ms F1 paddle driven gearbox in a 250 GT PF coupe' would be a mortal 
sin.

Opinions are like what?  Mine too.
