It was good for posing. Used to get my then wife to drive me around while
she was wearing a black cap, which was pretty funny. People look at you like
they hate your guts because they think you're some rich dude. Of course,
they're actually cheap as chips. Wasn't as quiet or smooth as the V12 jag I
had at the time. Lots of things to go wrong, and they do (but that's not
unique to rolls royces) was nicely built and solid and comfortable. I reckon
by now there's probably nothing you can't buy for them that's not after
market, better and cheaper, like with 308s etc. They still look good...and
whilst I haven't looked at them for many years, I'll bet it's getting pretty
hard to find a good one.

I was going to keep the Rolls and sell my V12 Jag, but after a few months of
ownership of the Rolls, someone actually came to test drive the Jag which I
hadn't driven for quite a while and I thought "I think I'm selling the wrong
car" and sold the Rolls instead.

Just A Car Geek

Hello Peter,

Please tell me about your 1977 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II. I am
considering a 1978 model.
