Hey Robert: If you think that $8500 for two stripes is bad, wait until  you 
hear this.
 
It seems that Ferrari leaned on the China GP organizers, who leaned on the  
Chinese government, who in turn leaned on the people in Shanghai who  sell 
their Panerai Scuderia Ferrari chronograph watches for $109 usd,  (shipping 
extra) 
and they're off the market now. You snooze, you lose!
 
If you want one now, and I'm wearing mine now, there's a place in Beverly  
Hills that lists them for $11,400 on their website. That'a about $800 over  
retail.

While visiting FOA last month I saw two Scuderia's and  both had the stripes.
It may be me or may be the economy but $8500 for two  little stripes? There
is something wrong with that. The sales manager said  most everybody wants
them!
