Ferrari Mailing List: Scud stripes

Hi gang,
 
The only Scud that I really paid attention to was a black one w/ gold stripes 
up at FoW back in November.  Lashdeep probably saw the same car (and I think 
it's also posted in one of Bill P.'s posts on Fchat).
 
I noted - with incredible disbelief - the price of the stripes and thought 
that, for that price, there better be real gold in that paint!!  I did not, 
however, notice the lack of quality that Lashdeep commented on.  The gold 
stripes on that car seemed to be well painted and clear-coated.  FWIW.
 
I think that car, and those stripes, are for the person who wants a Ferrari to 
be seen in, not necessarily to drive.  I kinda think that's what new Ferrari's 
are mostly built for nowadays, anyway.  Which is one of the reasons I liked 
owning Steve Cook's old - *dark blue* - 308, it rarely got noticed.  Even 
sitting at traffic lights.
