Hi Tom:

I see that you are still being tasked with the dispersal sale of these cars.

I think that we discussed the values of the RR and the Daimler in the past
but if not, let me know and we can do that now. Unfortunately, the market has
taken a marked turn for the worse in the intervening period of time and at
this time trying to dispose of a RR Silver Shadow alone could be difficult
at
best unless it is in excellent condition and not in need of mechanical work
nor a cosmetic restoration. This is just not a well-received model of Rolls
Royce which further limits its market to those RR folks who do have an affinity

for the model but these are not nearly as plentiful as the aficionados of
either the preceding nor subsequent models.

The Daimler is an even tougher sale as the marque is neither well recognized
nor are its enthusiasts as active in pursuit of finding such a car.
Additionally, it is a right-hand drive car that might go over well across the
Atlantic, but can be a real deal killer or at least a price killer in the
CONUS. I
think, not as an appraisal, simply as a research-oriented enthusiast, that if
you can still the $4k deal jump on it. Daimler limos, just like the Austin
Princess are orphan cars when equipped with RHD. No offense intended, but I
don't think that I personally would give you that amount for the pair in
today's
economy.

Best of luck, and if you get a "fire sale" offer on the Shadow drop me a
line. Sorry, but I don't think I know of anyone with an interest in the
Daimler
but if you want to throw it in with the "fire-sale" price on the Shadow I'd
put it on the same trailer. I'm finally adding a lift in the new garage and
these cars could be good "training aids" for one of the most inept DIY guys
(me) known to man.
