Fwd: FXX Evoluzione

It's like a Freedom Ride in reverse. As if that Guinea, Columbus had left
America and landed in Maranello instead!

But not to worry, with the coming FedGovCo mandated GPS units in every
American car, Big Brother is on his way to every American driver too. How does
a
new half a cent per mile 'Carbon Footprint' tax sound to you?

I don't believe the FXX is US street-legal. It is a 100% pure Track Car.
Furthermore, the car is heavily wired so that Ferrari Spa. can retrieve
telemetry data from the car. I suppose such information is useful to the
factory
to help understand the skill level and driving habits of their
most-well-heeled customers, so they can best understand how to build the 'next
Generation'
supercar that will compel such customers to part with $1Mil or more....

The FXX is a wonderful machine....only problem I have with it is that the
owners can't have total freedom with this car. Aren't they allowed to take
them to certain Ferrari sanctioned track days?

As far as cars weighing more, the growing dimensions is one culprit but the
safety regs require more structural reinforcement now than they did 10 years
ago; the McLaren F1 can never be rebuilt because of this.

However, all the other stuff can be dealt with....but not so sure that
eliminating ABS is that vital to purist happiness. :)
