When I did it, it was a nightmare - we fished a 1/16" steel cable through
the tunnel by attaching it to the old hose we pulled out, then I cut the new
hose(Gates) at an angle and riveted the cable to it.  Then we wrapped the
cable around a stick, lubed up the new hose and one guy pulled while another
pushed.  After approximately 45 minutes, voila' I had a new hose....

However, with the high quality hose, I don't expect to have to change it for
quite some time....

It is an absolute bitch, but not impossible. There are about three
spots where it can get hung up, drop the driver's side tank and remove
both wheels on that side. I swear they built the rest of the car
around that hose.
