I have a good friend that works for Penske South here in Mooresville, and he
has shown me how this machine works first hand. There are also other types
of machines that actually grow a part that is scanned into the computer , it
grows by applying layers that are less than 1000th of an inch, and keeps
layering and layering until the part is done. I forget the material used but
it is not plastic, it is some form of powder. very cool. I have had him make
parts for me for a few jobs I have done on Daytonas and Dinos.

very cool
