I have a good friend that works for Penske South here in Mooresville, and he has shown me how this machine works first hand. There are also other types of machines that actually grow a part that is scanned into the computer , it grows by applying layers that are less than 1000th of an inch, and keeps layering and layering until the part is done. I forget the material used but it is not plastic, it is some form of powder. very cool. I have had him make parts for me for a few jobs I have done on Daytonas and Dinos. very cool Wade -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Greenfield [mailto:coyote [at] acme-ltd.com] Sent: Thursday, March 05, 2009 10:21 PM To: Wade Cc: The FerrariList Subject: [Ferrari] replicating parts This is how you replicate parts ... if you're Jay Leno :-) Way cool, boy would I love to have this stuff in my shop ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggvzcGdZsTc Jeff _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/wade%40fortunemotors.co m Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
