Dr. Steve,

Thanks for the reply. She gets this type of stuff a couple times per year.
Typically, it involves a letter or Email expressing their love/lust and are
self limiting. She keeps a file of all of this type of correspondence. She
is not aware of any type of corporate security individual, but that does not
mean that there is not one. She is going to check that out.

Thanks!

As I am sure that you know, this type of harassment can vary in intensity
from simple mischief to an actual threat to personal safety. Your request does
not provide enough information to make such a determination and predicated
upon your subject line I assume that you are comfortable with your own
determination in these matters.

Doesn't her employer have a security consultant who could best advise her on

Thanks Clyde!??? She has a file of all the wierd stuff she gets.?? She says
it will help narrow down a search if anything were to ever happen.??? Each
time something like this happens, there is a procedure that is followed and
yes, the 5.0. are notified.? :)??? Unfortunately, they won't do anything
unless
one of these dingbats actually shows up.??? I can't quite convince her to use
her right and CCW.??? She's a little nervous about being armed outside the
house.
?
I appreciate the Emails on this subject.? Thanks for the help.
?
JIM

Can she change her email address with out to much trouble?
That would seem easier and if the msgs kept coming with an email change you
could then narrow it down
Just a thought

What info does one need to track an Email address. I'd like to know from
who/where an Email originated......how can I do this? Is it possible?
Someone is bothering my Wife at her work....long story, but she is a public
figure and has had a string of incidents this year. I think the latest is
related to this string.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Jim,

Sorry to hear someone is bothering your wife like that. This may not be
enough for your purposes, but try this...

In Outlook, open the message and then click "View", then click "Options". At
the bottom is a box titled "Internet headers:" and you can scroll through
and cut and paste all the text in there. Basically, this may have enough
information to reveal the path that the email took through the internet with
IP address of originator, and so on. This may not help, perhaps because the
trail is masked somehow or originates in some anonymous place like an
internet caf?. Whatever, I wouldn't muck around if it was happening to me
and and I'd get the cops involved, quick smart.

Hope this helps and all the best,

Grahame
