'Wait 'Til Nxt Year!'? --? Ferrari Bubba -----Original Message----- From: Steve Subject: Re: [Ferrari] SPOILER F1 On the day that the announcement was made that Ross Brawn was going to run his own team, I was visiting my parents (who are both F1 fans - Mum's Australian and my Dad lived there for years). I had plenty of witnesses when I said "We must fear Ross Brawn!" I had no idea how right I would be. I expected his team would be competitive eventually, but I had no idea it would be to this level this quickly. What a great result for him, and how cool to see two drivers in the post-interview with almost blank driving suits! HAHAHAHAHA. Some people back in Tokyo are probably committing seppuku over why they didn't just take the reins off Ross and let him run the team "as if" it were his own. Funniest part of the race for me, however, was near the end when Ross came on the radio and told Rubens to slow down. My wife has heard my Ross impression of Brawn's voice over the past weeks as I talked about the glory days when he'd come on the radio and say "Michael, we need 2 more seconds a lap for the next 8 laps" and then Michael would deliver. My wife has never heard Ross's voice before, but when he came on the radio she started laughing and said "That was Ross Brawn, wasn't it? You weren't exaggerating!" LOL! And while I don't want to take anything away from BrawnGP, it's a long season, and Ferrari will continue to develop all through the season. I'm not worried. :) FORZA! I'm so happy F1 is underway. :) SteveJ P.S. I'll be attending the Japanese GP this year. Anyone else gonna go? -----Original Message----- From: Rick Lindsay [mailto:rolindsay [at] yahoo.com] Sent: Sunday, March 29, 2009 3:44 PM To: Steve Jenkins Cc: The FerrariList Subject: [Ferrari] SPOILER F1 Hey Gang, 1) Congratulations to Ross Brawn. What an incredible accomplishment! 2) What the heck happened to the Ferraris? I stayed up and watched the race then watched it again this afternoon. I still don't know. Perhaps the drama happened while I was out for a pee. Certainly wasn't any drama there in the toilet!
