All,

geez, they should run them at the best time for the crowd and racers, I have a dvr but even 30 years ago i had a VHS. I think having them for a certain time zone is stupid. If the race had started a 12 they could have resumed after the rain stopped!

Well, I guess we could run the races in these longitudes (Australian,
Malaysia, China, Japan) early in the day - maybe around breakfast time, just after sun-up. No-one would be there to watch (the potential crowd would be all tucked up in bed fast asleep) and the drivers would need a few cups of coffee or maybe a few cans of Red Bull to spark up. But it might work for
Europe.

In Australia this time, running the race late in the afternoon did introduce
two interesting issues; 1. driving into the setting sun, and 2. tyre
temperature challenges as the sun set and the track got cooler. All
interesting and challenging stuff.

In Malaysia, running the race late in the afternoon just introduced silly stuff because at this time of year it is going to BUCKET down late in the afternoon and so what we saw was what we should have expected, and it was a bit like that game kids play at parties when the all have to freeze when the music stops, because we knew it was going to rain heaps - the only question
was when - and then the places were frozen.

Whatever, go the Brawn team, I say!

Cheers for now,

Grahame

The Malaysian race was a perfect example of "the Poison Dwarf" bureaucracy gone wrong. Its all about being at a reasonable time for European viewers. 9am for them, on a Sunday...hmmm. I'm just glad I didn't pay to go and see
it.

Graham, I'm not sure that the schedule change works for European viewers. I mean, motorheads like me wake up at ANY time needed. Most other people don't do it, be it 6:00AM or 10:00AM !! But maybe the price payed by local TV's is
different depending on the time schedule.

Ferrari strategy? Do we have any at the moment? Any one of us could have
done a better job in this race I think.

My thoughts exactly! I truly believe that most of us would have done a
better job, strategy wise. I can't understand how Ferrari leaves one car in the grid and another in the pits. Why was Kimmi in his shorts and t- shirt?
The only reason I can understand is that he was going to abandon
anyway. Massa did not look happy at all ...
Maybe the switch to rain tires for Kimmi means "we have nothing to lose
anyway, let's try this ..."

I hope we can get it right before they really get their act together.

Oh yes I do, too!

I agree that it was a very entertaining race, while it lasted. As Rick, I also like Ross Brawn and I like to see a team with a fraction of the budget of others winning so clearly. We have to remember that they are about 6 months ahead in terms of development. They started before everyone else, I
believe. That's strategy, too.

Let's hope for better days for Ferrari
