Indeed, very valid.

Part of being a superathlete is also knowing that your lifespan at the top may
be much longer than most of your competitors. That drive he put on Brazil(?) in
2006 was ridiculous. It was an indication that he had much more to go.

At his age, a lesser driver would be ready to throw in the towel. For MS, those
limits are blurred.

Subject: [Ferrari] reassembling the "dream team"

I think all of you have made excellent points on this (though my first thought
when I read that AutoWeek piece about Todt was the FIA position....), but there
may be one more.

MS was basically "dumped" by Luca at the end of '06, and while he showed what a
great team player and statesman he is by sticking by the team, I can't help but
wonder if somewhere deep down inside, he would relish the opportunity to
compete against, and beat, the team that dumped him.

A friend of mine told me he had been reading rumors somewhere about LH exiting
McLaren.  What if Brawn brought in Todt, MS *AND* LH???  I think it would be a
formidable combination and I also think MS would cede the #1 position on the
team to LH in order to foster a true *TEAM* effort in beating Ferrari.

Just a thought (or two).....
