Hey Rick -
Ahhhhh! What a great old sports car! It really looks special. You and I have previously discussed the importance of preserving these great old cars to keep them from dieing a slow rusty death. I'm really happy for you to finally have this baby home.

I've lost many of my emails for Q1 '09 & I cannot recall your plans for the TR. Do I remember correctly you saying there was something special in this TRs past? Racing history perhaps? (I may be thinking of something else altogether.) Is there any rust on the floors, rockers, quarters?

I'd like to offer a tiny bit of hard won advice - don't take it apart farther than needed. There are so many unusual fittings on old Brit cars it's almost impossible to keep track of them once removed. Also, the amount of space needed for a disassembled vs assembled car must be triple or more. I've had parts stashed all over the place and still find little bags of parts ;-) that were thought to be long lost.

Have you put a battery in it yet to check the electrical system (always my biggest fear after rust)?

It really looks like a great car! I hope more photos will follow?
