Result yesterday I got lots of ignition noise toady the unit says "Protect" which the manual says that the speaker wire has a short circuit which it doesn't.
How do you know the speaker wires don't have a short? How did you test them? Are they new wires or the stock ones? Try unhooking all the speaker connections from the radio and seeing if you get the Protect message. If you don't, that would indicate that there is a problem in the speaker wiring. Hook up one set of speaker wires at a time until you get the Protect message, the last set being the one with the problem. Also, I pulled up the manual off the web - did you press the reset button after each change in wiring?
