I agree that CC companies have gamed the system, however the consumer always
has the option of simply paying them off every month and then who cares what
the APR is.  If the consumers spending habits create huge CC balances that
are not paid off and are impacted by APRs - then when you dance with the
devil.........

Banks are doing this to collect as much $ as possible before the Gov't
puts new controls on them.
