I would make sure you buy one from a place that will take returns, and then go use it IN the 308 before your trip. I bought a little Muv unit from Staples for a trip where I wanted one in the 355. I was very pleased with the ease of use, features, accuracy and display, but the voice commands were worthless because even at maximum volume I could barely hear it over the 355's motor, road and wind noise - and that was with the top up. With the top down, voice commands may as well have not existed and the screen could be quite difficult to see in direct sunlight. So rather than worry about particular brand or features, I would just use a couple of models in the car if possible and see if the important things work out - can I hear it, and can I see it? -- charles -----Original Message----- From: Paul Bennett [mailto:pbennett [at] macnet.com] Sent: Friday, May 15, 2009 1:32 AM To: Charles Perry Cc: The FerrariList Subject: [Ferrari] GPS for 308 Any recommendations for a voice type GPS for my 308 with a display I wouldn't have to put reading glasses on to use. I'm planning a trip through the Bay Area and could use one to clue me through the lane changes. I don't know which features are valuable and which are useless. _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/charles%40carolina- sound.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
