As I've said before the gravity levitation link to the earth's magnetic field 
is the next step.
Just as silicon was the next step to vacuum tubes, mag lev is the next step for 
transportation.
Practical breakthrough is likely to come from a Pakistani or Iranian University 
as anywhere.
