That would be it - named after a motorcycle freak who did it in the 20s or
30s. But not in a TR, regardless of what cLYdE says - Daytona GTB.

Apparently he was a palofPenske's and that was the connection. I believe Penske bought a Daytona atthe same time this 512 deal went down. It is interesting how the setup of the car went. They had Traco rebuildthemotor and they squeezed 630bhp out of it...way more than the factorycould. They also made their own body with larger wings and redid many of the suspension pickup points, springs, sway bars, etc. LS ________________________________ From: philville dejazzd.com <philville [at] dejazzd.com> To: LS <lashdeep [at] yahoo.com> Cc: The FerrariList <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Friday, June 5, 2009 2:57:42 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Mark Donohue Ferrari 512MWhen any one thinks about this car, do they ever remember the name Kirk F.White? ----- Original Message ----- From: LS <lashdeep [at] yahoo.com> Date: Friday, June 5, 2009 11:52 am Subject: [Ferrari] Mark Donohue Ferrari 512M To: Phil Tegtmeier <philville [at] dejazzd.com> Cc: The FerrariList <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> > > I don't want to anger anyone off with Ferrari content but... > > It is great to hear how successful Penske and Donohue made the > 512.
