Sorry to hear that.

So, since I don't have a front plate, being from SC, all I really need
is a beekeeper's hat when I head out west?

And lest you think there aren't Big Brother forces at work, last year I
was in Oregon and ended up using an Easy-Pass kind of lane for one of
their toll roads out there by mistake. The rental car I was driving did
not have the appropriate pass. Several months after the trip, I saw on
my credit card a $75 charge from the rental car company. I called to ask
what it was for, and was told that the car got a ticket for avoiding a
toll during my visit. They traced the ticket date back to my rental and
applied the ticket fee ($40) plus a $35 "courtesy" fee for handling my
fine for me. Bleah.

Ill re-title this so we don't Hi-Jack the Cross Country thread.....

I got my first ticket last Thurs in the Ferrari. I was behind a slow
moving Subaru (he was going 35-40 in a 55) so when traffic cleared, I
passed. A County boy was behind an approaching truck. He said I hit
71 before slowing back to 55. He was by the book. Said that its
NEVER ok to exceed the posted speed......PERIOD. And he wrote me up
with a smile......

Bummer!
