        Down an inch or an inch closer to the center of the car and he'd 

have been a goner.  I'm amazed he regained enough awareness to hit the 

brakes before hitting the barrier.

        Here is a picture of the Brawn rear suspension.  The spring that 

likely broke is #1 on the diagram.

        Looks like the news on Fellipe so far is good.  They're inducing a 

coma to help his brain heal.
