Congratulations!  Feels exhilarating doesn't it, living on the edge  of 
disaster for 2 1/2 hours?  Sounds like each battery might last up  to an hour 
under bare minimum draw conditions and the 3 battery farm was just  enough to 
get the job done.
 
I love it when a plan comes together!
