I dont like Alonso either. He is a whiner and a rat. I am a whiner so I can spot one from 3,000 miles away! The B.S. with the pit stop, the ratting out his team, (which I approved of but would he do it again?) The Singapore mess (I bet it was his idea!?) I liked Kimi as he parties hard and is the "Iceman" , but Massa is my favorite. I dont care who they get I hope Mass comes back aand wins the title. MS retired to help him partly and i think he has matured as a great driver and hope he gets well. I would like to se RB win the title just for all the bs he went through playing second fiddle to MS. Am I whining? :-)

I'm looking forward to seeing FA at Ferrari. I think the Ferrari drive will
see Fernando ascend to true F1 greatness. Here is why.

Certainly, FA is a great driver - world championships are reasonable
evidence in themselves. And yes, I remember him keeping MS's faster car at bay for something like 19 laps with clever defensive driving - never made a mistake or opened the door in the slightest right to the finish line. I particularly remember at the time being extremely frustrated and annoyed
that Fernando could do that to our Michael!

There was also some fantastic footage I saw of him at Monaco 2 or 3 years
ago just fearlessly but very deftly chucking his McLaren through the
corners. It was really spectacular slow-motion stuff.

FA is also a good car developer, like MS was. I don't think KR is
particularly good at that and I don't know about Felipe on this score.
Arguably, FA made an enormous contribution to the McLaren car development and race set-ups when he was there and this is what helped catapult LH up so quickly and was one of the gripes he had with the team giving LH all his set-up information with nothing coming back his way. Hopefully, he will bring these development and set-up skills to Ferrari - they seem to need
them lately.

Overall, I think his mix of raw driving skill plus his now considerable
driving experience, along with his passion tempered by his more recent
maturity will all combine at Ferrari in a very powerful way.

Here's hoping!

Just my .02 Kroons worth

Cheers for now,

Grahame

I will. I think Alonso is a great driver. I remember watching him being followed lap after lap be MS and never putting a foot wrong. we'll never
really know what went on with the LH/FA/McLaren thing.

More intriguing is why did Ferrari re-sign Kimi for the extra year that they're now having to pay him to get out of? I remember being very surprised by that at the time and if Kimi goes to McLaren now, how can he possibly
compete against their golden boy Lewis?

Not sure if it is really a spoiler, but I'm surprised I'm the first
one bringing up the Alonso replacing Raikkonen issue. I didn't like
Kimi to start mostly because he came from the dark side (McLaren) but
have grown to mostly tolerate him. But there's not much I like about
Alonso -- I won't forget his whining whilst alongside a rookie called
Lewis.

Will you all get excited about having Fernando on the team?
