Rick. Keep in mind that when you are driving a 328 your aural cavities
are never more than a very few inches from the forward cylinder bank
of the transversely mounted V8. The car is going to sing it's song to
you accompanied by wonderful clangs from the shift lever moving
through shiny metal gates. This is very magical stuff and the essence
of Ferrariness.
I never grew tired of listening to the siren song of my 328. All those miles I never once turned on the radio. I remain mystified by the arguments you see over what stereo to buy. Like Raul Julia's rear view mirror I would have happily tossed my stereo head unit over my shoulder (not easy in a Berlinetta!) given a chance
Don't buy an aftermarket exhaust for the sound. As for better performance first learn to get ten tenths out of your stock car. Keep in mind that the average Accord these days has more HP. But they will never have the 328's magic, or it's awesomeness
And there is no charge for awesomness as Enzo and the Kung Fu Panda knew.

Thanks for the 328 info guys. One other question is what you guys think about aftermaket exhaust for the 328. Is the stock one fairly load or do you need to get a tubi or other to hear it and feel it? What is the best aftermarket exhaust and about how much should I expect to spend? If you know of a 328 for sale in great shape (not red) at a reasonable price please let me know. Thanks Rick (giraff legs) From: Britt2Asa [at] aol.com Date: Tue, 27 Oct 2009 18:43:05 -0400 Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Info for 308/328 To: rickwr250 [at] hotmail.com; ferrari [at] ferrarilist.comSame height as me and I had a 328 as a daily driver for 6 years. Little tight with the roof on but very comfortable once you settled in. I did more than one 12 hour 600 mile day in that car!Britt Hi Guys,I'm looking for a 328 and wondering if there are any negatives or common problems with that model to look out for? Also I'm 6'1" with long legs and hear the leg room is brutal in these cars. Any tall guys out there with a 328 that can comment.Appreciate your help and time. cheers!
