Hi Gang -
Was looking at the 12/09 issue of Forza and came across a article by M Sheehan about the latest values of Ferrari's. I have always been interested in the 456 and 550 and they show numbers for the 456 between $40k & $60k and the 550 between $75k & $95k. The author didn't say where the numbers came from BTW.

Ignoring the actual numbers for the moment (yes, I know they're not Clyde numbers) and look at the ratio - a 456 is roughly 60% of a 550. Is the 550 that much better? or the inverse, is the 456 that much worse? I know looks are subjective but to me the 456 & 550 and equals in the looks department.

Just wondering what the list thinks of these 2 as choices -- IMHO, it certainly seems like a 456 at $50k (to use the mid point) is a better buy than a 550 at $85k. But the person who came up with the numbers doesn't think so. I wish this was a pending purchase decision but it's all academic for the moment. ;-)
