Clyde notes - "Mich is not coming back I just got back from Paris and its all the talk on the sports channel After the tire side wall gig at Indy they want no part of F1 as of this writing My guess is that Goodyear will come back It will bring jobs show the US flag etc "

Go Go Goodyear. Now I can break out my old AAR Dan Gurney wind breaker I got in '67. Whooops - I donna fit in it no more. Dang. Looks cool tho - blue with an AAR patch and two vertical white and yellow stripes. Maybe the gals will start wearing minis and white boots again.

In the Fall of 1967, Ferrari Bubba and I, wearing our free press pickings AAR GoodYear racing wind breakers, were in Corona (a Barney Oldfield race track town, truned into a 2 mile diameter housing tract in the 30's) after a Riverside Time Grand Prix - CanAm at a REAL bar (sleeping customers at the bar is a good indicator) when this rather plump Mexican gal comes up and pokes Bubba with her pool queue - EH, I want my mooney back. Eh? Yeah, you tires are not good. I think Bubba gave her a dollar for a few beers and she went away. We went back to gnawing down our soft tacos with string beef. The Mexican deli next store had a stack of cow heads on special. Those WERE the days of racing.
Heh heh
