FWIW, it's not the only study that shows the quercetins in Sambucus Nigra
(aka
Black Elderberry) are effective against influenza viruses.  There are
multiple.

Apparently the act as neuraminidase inhibitors.

It's also been anecdotally known for a few hundred years.

Essentialy "Take elderberry if you have a 'cold'".

There are hundreds of natural remedies for diseases. Big Pharma has no
vested
interest (read: $$$$ interest) in promoting them.

(Uncle Ken gave us an amino acid derivative that helps as well - last year!)
