Phil,

I'm about 5 miles from TO. I can do the PPI for you. The results are as
follows...

There is evidence of a substantial amount of rust in the inner sills that
appears to have been repaired many times. It appears not to have required
any further rust repair to the underside of the vehicle after the last major
engine service, performed by the Pep Boys automotive center in nearby
Oxnard. The car was originally white and has been repainted black.

The interior of the car is in fine condition, having been totally restored
in the last car boom in the late 90's.

The engine is in good condition with the exception of a massive oil leak. It
is this leak that convinced the prior owner to repaint the white car black.
The cost of having the engine repaired was offset against the rust
protection afforded by the oil spraying all over the underside of the
vehicle. The SU carburetors have sticky slides and the car exhibits some
hesitation on acceleration, but pulls strong once going. The differential
has a slight whine under deceleration. The driveshaft universals also show
some wear.

While not a good car by any stretch, it is better than the average E type in
that it still does run.

:) Dave
