Along with Jeff's comments, look closely at the targa top seals. I've heard of owners having difficulty stopping water leaks.

Working on the engine is fun for a contortionist (as with any small, mid-engined car). Nuff said -

Britt -

I've worked on a bunch of them over the years and driven a few.

I'm 5'10 and fit ok, possibly a little better than in the 308.

They are fun to drive, at least on the twisty roads. The later cars
with EFI are definitely better. Don't know how pleasent one would be
on a long drive at speed though as I've never driven one more than a
few miles.

Check closely for rust everywhere. Also check for oil leaks,
especially anywhere in the vicinity of the timing belt. If you don't
have proof that the timing belt wasn't replaced recently, throw a belt
and tensioner on it. The parts are cheap and it is not that hard to do
(at least compared to a 3x8).

In fact, the car kinda handles and drives like a much smaller 3x8.

Mechanical parts are readily available and pretty cheap. Body and trim
parts OTH are pretty tough to find though.

HTH,

Jeff

Sporty?

I saw them as a teenager but have never sat in one or driven one.
Had fun
with the Alfas but looking for something a little different now.

If you have been in one can I fit? (I'm 6'0)

Do they have enough power to get out of their own way?

Many thanks
